Japan and Uzbekistan will compete for the 2023 AFC U23 Asian Cup final on Friday. Japan beat Iraq 2-0, while Uzbekistan beat Indonesia by the same margin in the semifinals.
Uzbekistan beat Indonesia 2-0 in the semifinals, racking up 28 shots in the process. Indonesia failed to register a single shot on target and conceded a 68-32 share of possession in the game.
Japan heavily outplayed Iraq in the semifinals. The 2-0 win came on the back of 16 shots with 10 on target and a 56-44 share of possession.
